On the Road Again.....

The journey begins tonight!

Joey, Emily, Darin and I leave for our big Southwest jaunt at 3 a.m.

Right now I am dusty, dirty, tired, and shaky. I have made 5 mixed tapes (yes, cassette tapes) and cleaned and decorated and repaired our van Isis, and cleaned our house, and listed new items on Etsy, and talked on the phone and made plans and packed every fun item we could think of, and watered my plants and baked tofu and waltzed with my cats around my house because I will sorely miss them.

And now the crucial moment is here...go to sleep (be still my anxious heart) for a few hours before TAKE OFF! Tomorrow we will be driving the old Highway 50 all the way to a ghost town in southern Utah where we plan to film a short horror movie in an abandoned building. That's the plan at least.

I am not able to upload photos because I ran out of space. Did you guys know that could happen?!! I bought more space so that should kick in soon. I'll show you guys our ragtag group if I have a chance before we leave.

We have soooo many adventures in store. I wish I could blog every day from the road but I that is not gonna happen. I will try my best to check in though, and to read all of yours because I will miss that cozy feeling of sitting with my morning coffee and checking all "my sites" as I call them. My "friends" I call them too.

With love, soaring optimism, and unchecked enthusiasm...we begin!

I visited for the PRACTICAL MAGIC party, was disappointed that there wasn't a post, but I did find the flat house intriguing.

Peace,
Susan

Yay, roadtrip! Why are you leaving in the middle of the night though? Haha...

And yes, I definitely know you can run out of room! I ran out a few days ago myself... But now it's October so it's all good.

You should keep a journal written by hand, and then type it up for us afterward. :)
...like a band of gypsies we go down the highway.

Safe and happy travels to you all, can't wait to hear your tales when you return!

Oh, I hope your trip is off to an amazing start Heather! I'm sure it's gonna be incredible, I'm so excited for you guys and of course a wee bit jealous ;)

That's so cool that Epic Dust is underway too! I meant to contribute but have been sick and taking an internet break, so didn't get it together in time. I'll just have to buy a copy of the film when it's available!

Have so much fun and happy trails to you and your fellow travelers! Can't wait to hear about all the adventures you have :)
