home is wherever i'm with you

september has become the month of cute overalls around here.
lucy has grown to fit into several different adorable pairs of vintage overalls featuring corduroy, lace, and homey scenes. vintage overalls are one of my favorite things for babies to wear, they are practical, comfortable and cute and versatile through the seasons.

these came from my friend jocelyn who received a bunch of baby clothes from her neighbor niccole. most of them were from niccole's own childhood in the 1970s and some were even homemade by her own mama. i could not believe my luck to be on the receiving end of such perfect treasures and i asked why niccole didn't want them for her own daughter. jocelyn said, "she just wasn't into the vintage thing." wow! i can't even imagine, that never even occured to me!

it is so fun to play with our cuddly little baby who can smile so brightly and attempt to converse. her talking is so adorable and she concentrates so intently.

happy full moon tonight to all our friends out there. i'll leave you with my favorite sight:
good night and good snuggles to you all :)

cuter and cuter and cuter.
those overalls are CRAZY cute, but they are completely eclipsed by that SMILE. goodness, there is nothing better than gummy baby smiles, and your little lucy beams sunshine, she's so lit up. that first pic, the 'open baby stare' face that you've posted before, makes me laugh every time. so delightful.

i've been reading all your posts love, but i haven't commented lately due to lack of time and a sense of overwhelm...i haven't had enough wits to remark on the outstanding beauty that is you and your babe and your life! but i am loving you from afar and rejoicing in your happiness. xo

Nothing as charming as a baby's smile! Your little girl is such a bundle of sunshine. I agree that jumpers & overalls are the cutest on kiddos, especially vintage ones.

Oh goodness, your little lady is just as cute and sweet as can be! I am loving her collection of overalls and that cracks me up that your reaction to the friend not being "into the vintage thing" was something that never occurred to you, haha, seriously, right?!

I love the title of this post. I never felt more secure and happy then when all my little ones were snug in their beds, warm and loved. What a blessing our little Lucy is in our lives. I love her so much and you too honey!! You write like you ran as a child, like your Daddy always said "Don't forget to touch the floor" as you ran skipping away.
